Volunteer for our Race Weekend Crew!
The Credit Union Queen City Marathon would not be successful without the help of hundreds of volunteers. In fact, it takes approximately 600 volunteers to make this event happen.
Volunteering for the QCM is a great way to give back to your community, support healthy lifestyles and active living, and be a part of Saskatchewan's premier running and walking event. Being a QCM volunteer is a fufilling and rewarding experience where you can really make a positive difference for new and veteran runners and walkers. As a QCM volunteer, you'll meet new friends from all walks of life who share that same passion for running/walking and volunteering.
There are still plenty of volunteer opportunities available during race weekend, September 9th to 11th.
Our biggest need is Course Marshals on Saturday and Sunday.
Course Marshals are very important volunteers. They make sure that participants turn at the correct locations, help keep vehicles off the course, and keep an eye out for participants who might be struggling or having some problems. Volunteering on the course on Saturday and/or Sunday (you can volunteer one day or both!) is a great way to get right next to all the action, fun, and excitement of the race, as you witness the effort and dedication of the participants and help them along the way to the finish line.
You can select from a wide range of QCM volunteer opportunities, in different areas and different times...and yes, you can certainly sign up for more than one! Learn more about some of the volunteer opportunities by CLICKING HERE.
Please feel free to pass this information onto your friends, family, co-workers, classmates, clients, distance cousins...heck, invite everyone in your contact list or address book. :-)
Thank you in advance for considering signing up as a QCM volunteer! If you have any specific questions about the volunteer opportunities or if you have specific volunteer requests - such as volunteering as a group or class - email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you in September!
