Marketing and Communications Job Description (Including, but not limited to):
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media
Develop, manage, coordinate and implement a comprehensive marketing and communication plan
Manage social media content and campaigns, including calendar creation, regular posting, customer support & analytics.
Comprehensive posting on Run Regina and Queen City Marathon feeds and stories, 3-4 posts per week on multiple platforms.
Interacting/engaging with customer and partner content.
Social media advertising posting & reporting as necessary. Track progress and evaluate results of social media campaigns and
advertising and provide ongoing recommendations on how to optimize communications and engagement.
Responsible for designing, writing content and creating promotional materials.
Assist in the coordination, production, and execution of all marketing initiatives including event launches, special announcements,
advertising, and other marketing materials as required
Develop and launch a volunteer race ambassador program
Support Executive Director and volunteer managers with customer service as required.
MEDIA and Public Relations
Write and distribute media releases and advisories in conjunction with Event Partners, pre & post event
Manage all aspects of event week media logistics
Available for TV and radio interviews
Work to gain earned media
Community Relations and Partnerships
Develop, promote and manage corporate team program
Assist with charity partners onboarding and support
Assist with community-run partner events, training runs, promotions, and other collaborations
Event Management
Assist with race event delivery
Coordinate with volunteers
A successful candidate will possess varied skills and experience in:
Proficiency and strong technological skills for multiple marketing platforms (Office365, Instagram, Facebook, Blue Sky, Linkedin).
Strong English writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping others and building the communities we run through and with.
Knowledge and experience with the running community considered an asset.
Passion for running, fitness, and outdoor events is a plus!
Required Experience:
1+ year of experience in social media management, marketing, or event promotion - preferably in sports or fitness.
Basic design skills with experience using Canva or other design tools.
Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp).
Customer Service experience an asset.

Being a runner, walker or wheeler is not a prerequisite, being able to think like one is.
Education:
Some Post Secondary school (Preferred)
Location - Regina, Saskatchewan
Work - Run Regina does not have a permanent office. Remote work with access to your own computer required.
Job Type - Fulltime, contract (6 months - starting May 15 - negotiable), Anticipate moving this position to a permanent, full-time position after the contract.
Targeted Start Date - May 15
Compensation - $27,500 - contract term
